Privacy policy

GroupSlip is a sports-research and pick-tracking service operated by ModeBros LLC, doing business as GroupSlip, in Virginia, United States. This notice describes how ModeBros LLC handles information at groupslip.app. For privacy questions or requests, contact groupslipapp@gmail.com.

What the service does

GroupSlip helps people coordinate picks, track results and prepare slips for independent sportsbooks. We do not accept or place wagers, collect, hold, manage or pool betting funds, pay winnings, or run paid prize contests. Recording a pick or generating a slip does not place a bet.

Sportsbook links can help you open prepared selections where supported. Any actual wager requires your own eligible sportsbook account and your personal review and confirmation with that sportsbook. Its legal age, location and account requirements apply separately. GroupSlip does not place bets on your behalf.

You can use GroupSlip without wagering at all. Make paper picks—like paper trading for sports bets—by submitting a line and tracking its result with friends. No bet, sportsbook account or deposit is required. Results and unit returns are tracking calculations, not money won or paid by GroupSlip.

Information we process

  • Account and sign-in information: email, display name, account and authentication-provider identifiers, verification status and session records. Our authentication provider processes credentials or identity tokens.
  • Eligibility and Terms: your 21+ self-confirmation, the policy and Terms versions you accepted, and the server-recorded acceptance date. This is not independently verified age. We do not request your date of birth, ID or Social Security number for this confirmation.
  • Google sign-in: basic identity information such as name, email and Google account identifier; the provider may receive a profile image. We do not request access to your Gmail messages, contacts, calendar or Drive. Your Google password is entered with Google.
  • Groups and picks: membership, roles, invites, names, emblems, selections, markets, lines, odds, sportsbooks, timestamps, results, slip links, performance calculations and correction/audit records.
  • Subscriptions: a separate Stripe customer identifier, subscription and checkout identifiers, plan and access status, product, paid-through date, payment-status updates and billing-support audit records. When you choose to subscribe, Stripe processes your checkout, payment method and billing information under its privacy policy. GroupSlip uses payment and subscription status to provide the access you purchased and does not store full payment-card numbers or card security codes.
  • Feedback and support: your message, account/contact details, relevant app page, browser/device details and review notes. Please do not send passwords, payment-card details or other sensitive information.
  • Notifications and delivery: preferences, browser push endpoints and encryption keys, delivery status and configured destinations such as Telegram chat identifiers.
  • Technical information: hosting, authentication and security infrastructure process requests, IP addresses, browser information, timestamps and error/security logs. Session cookies and browser storage support sign-in, preferences, cached data and app state.

How we use information

We use information to sign you in, run groups, record and grade picks, calculate performance, prepare shared slips, send requested notifications, respond to support, investigate abuse and maintain reliability. Google account information is used for sign-in and account identification, not to read your Google content.

Who can see it

Group members and administrators can see the names, picks, participation and records made available in their group. Shared invitations, slips and leaderboard features can expose the information shown to their recipients or audience. Other people may copy shared information; do not put private information in group names or picks.

We use Supabase for authentication and Cloudflare and OpenAI Sites infrastructure for hosting, storage and delivery. Google handles Google sign-in under its policies. Slip-generation and delivery integrations, including Playbook and configured Telegram delivery, receive the pick, group, display-name and destination information needed to prepare or deliver a shared slip. Push delivery uses browser/platform notification services.

Opening a sportsbook or another external service is subject to that service’s own policies. GroupSlip does not collect your sportsbook password or betting payment-card details through the tracking workflow. Information may also be disclosed where required by law or reasonably necessary to protect people and the service.

Optional analytics and storage

Optional analytics are off until you allow them. With permission, a random first-party browser ID links your campaign source and campaign label to a new account, first saved group pick, checkout start and verified subscription. Records expire after 30 days. We report campaign totals, not individual identities. We do not collect raw referral URLs, advertising click IDs or pick contents for this measurement, install third-party advertising pixels, or send these events to X. Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control disable collection. Rejecting analytics removes this browser's linked measurement record; signing in and using the app still work. Change your preference.

Notifications

Push notifications require permission. You can adjust app preferences and revoke browser/device permission. Notification previews can appear on your lock screen according to your device settings.

Retention and your requests

We retain records while needed to provide the service, maintain shared group history, resolve disputes and protect security. The beta does not automatically erase all historical records on a fixed schedule. Leaving a group, deleting a pick, signing out or revoking Google access does not automatically delete your account, audit history, backups or copies shared with others.

Request access, correction, export or account deletion at groupslipapp@gmail.com, preferably from your account email. We may verify your identity before acting. We will explain any information we must retain or cannot recall from another recipient. Where appropriate, historical group records may be de-identified rather than deleting other members’ records. These are support-assisted requests, not an immediate self-service deletion feature.

Security and location

We use encrypted network connections, access controls and session protections. No service can guarantee absolute security. Our providers may process information in the United States and other countries where they operate. Your rights depend on applicable law; this notice does not limit those rights.

Adults only and updates

GroupSlip is intended for people aged 21 or older, not children. Sportsbook use is separately subject to local legal age and eligibility requirements. Contact us if you believe someone under 21 supplied personal information so we can investigate. We will update this notice when practices change and provide additional notice where required.
